Safeguarding
The Holt House and Carterknowle Schools Federation has a child centred and co-ordinated approach to safeguarding. Our policy and procedures, which are in line with statutory guidance from the Department for Education, are reviewed and approved by the governing body annually, apply to all staff, governors and volunteers working in the schools. Everyone who comes into contact with children has a role to play in safeguarding them. We maintain an attitude of ‘it could happen here’ where safeguarding is concerned. When concerned about the welfare of a child, we always act in the best interests of the child.
